 Lori Henry– Co-Lead Preschool Teacher

Over the last 20 years I have found a passion in teaching. I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings from being a stay at home mom of four and home schooling them, to starting up and teaching in a preschool facility for special needs children.  I have also worked in various preschool centers, volunteered in schools working with Pre-k to seniors, also as a substitute teacher working with special needs. I specialize in individuality and behaviors. I have studied early childhood education, child development, basic psychology, special education, and behavioral modification. This has given me the skills needed to treat each and every child as the wonderful individual there are, and are becoming.  I am excited to learn each child and assist them in blossoming into their unique personalities.  I love to watch them absorb and learn all the world has to offer.  Everything is new and exciting to them, such as the simple pleasures like mastering a new skill. Thank you for giving me the chance to help you child grow.

Jessica Allen – Lead Toddler Teacher

I learned the joy of taking care of children at a very young age while helping my grandmother with her own family home daycare. I took childcare and child development courses in high school. These experiences shaped my decision to become a childcare professional. I have worked in childcare in the Northwest Arkansas area since I was 17 yrs old. I have earned my CCOT am certified in First Aid and CPR. I am currently studying to receive my Child Development Associate’s degree through ASU’s northwest Arkansas satellite campus. I have worked at JLHCC – East for over a year and am looking forwarded to taking my training and education to west Fayetteville.

Heather Jerrell – Co-Lead Preschool Teacher

My name is Heather Jerrell and I have always known I wanted to teach. I studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock before moving to Fayetteville and am currently enrolled at Northwest Arkansas Community College. I will have my Child Development Associate Certificate of Proficiency, completed Spring 2012, and am working towards my Associate of Applied Sciences Degree specializing in Early Childhood Education.  I have been babysitting since I was 12 yrs old and have worked in licensed childcare facilities since 2008. I taught children’s church, vacation bible school and a children’s choir/drama group for ages 4-11 years.  I treasure being a positive influence in children’s lives both emotionally and through education. I enjoyed working at JLHCC East and am excited for the great things JLHCC West will bring!

Cheryl Morgan – Alternate Lead Teacher

I have been married for over three years to Jason Morgan, a firefighter with the City of Fayetteville. Together, we have two-year old daughter, Ellie. I am so amazed to see how fast children grow and how much and quickly they learn. I have worked in child care for 6 years and was recently awarded my Child Development Associates (CDA). I am enrolled at NWACC to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. My passion in life is to provide children and families in need with stability, compassion, love, understanding and a safe environment. I love working here at JLHCC and could not be happier!
